"Quick edits without the signup hassle"
Photopea is one of those tools I keep coming back to because it just gets out of the way. I can open it, make a quick PSD edit or fix an image, and move on without creating an account or dealing with a whole setup process.
The ads can be a little distracting, and you do have to be smart about saving your work yourself, but for a free editor that works right in the browser, it’s a solid option. Easy 4 stars from me.

"Useful app, but the tutorials could be clearer, right?"
I do think Photopea is a really useful tool, but the docs and tutorials didn’t help me as much as I expected. A few steps felt like they were skipped, and I kept having to guess where certain tools were, which I’m guessing other beginners might run into too? The videos are decent, but they move a little fast and some parts don’t seem fully up to date. It can get frustrating quickly when you’re just starting out
"Pretty reliable, even if I somehow still hit the slow moments"
I use photopea a few times a week, it’s been mostly solid for me. It loads without much drama and doesn’t usually crash, even when I’m working with bigger files. Of course, knowing my luck, I do run into those random moments where it slows down or freezes for a second, but it usually sorts itself out. For something that runs right in the browser, I can’t really complain too much. It’s dependable enough that I keep coming back to it...

"Too Many Pop-Ups"
I’m not sure if it was just my setup or the site itself, but there were way too many pop-up ads on the side. They kept covering things I was trying to look at and seemed to slow me down while I was working. It ended up being annoying overall

"photopea is fine for basic editing, but the..."
photopea is fine for basic editing, but the cloud storage side is kind of a hassle. I had a feeling it would be messy since browser-based tools never seem to handle syncing smoothly, and this just confirmed that for me. Sometimes my files don’t sync properly, so I end up re-uploading them, which gets old fast when I’m moving between my laptop and my work PC.

"Not the easiest tool for beginners"
I gave Photopea a try for what I thought would be a quick, simple edit, but I ended up feeling lost almost right away. There are so many tools and menus that it’s kind of overwhelming if you don’t already know what you’re doing. Reading between the lines, I can tell it’s probably really powerful for people with more experience, but for someone like me who just needed something straightforward, it wasn’t the best fit.

"Photopea works really well on my laptop…"
Photopea works really well on my laptop. No big issues there. On mobile though, it feels cramped. A little laggy too. Some tools are hard to tap right. Still usable, just not as smooth
"The privacy stuff feels a little…"
The privacy stuff feels a little unclear to me, lol. I wish it was explained in a simpler way so I knew exactly what’s being collected and how it’s used

"Gets the job done"
It’s not quite as smooth or polished as Photoshop, at least from what I’ve used so far, but it still does what I need it to do. There are a few moments where I notice the difference, like little workflow things feel a bit clunky, but once I get going it’s fine and I can still finish my edits without too much hassle

"Photopea is decent if you’ve..."
Photopea is decent if you’ve already got it loaded before going offline. Sometimes I can keep working with no problem, but other times it acts like it still needs the internet for things to load properly. It’s handy when you’re stuck without a connection, but I wouldn’t count on it for anything too important. Then it just
"Pretty useful, but the shortcuts take some getting used to"
Photopea is really handy, especially when I need to edit something quickly. The only thing is that some of the keyboard shortcuts feel a little strange or don’t work the way I expect them to 😅 It’s still totally usable, but there’s definitely a bit of a learning curve.

"Exporting was way more annoying than it needed to be"
I tried using Photopea for what was supposed to be a quick edit, and the editing part wasn’t even the main issue. It was the exporting that got on my nerves. Some file formats felt like they were tucked away somewhere, or maybe just limited, and the save settings weren’t very clear. I just wanted a decent quality file and to move on with my day, but I ended up clicking around way more than I expected. Maybe other people are used to it, or maybe I just caught it at a bad moment, but for me it felt like a waste of time. 1 star.

"Billing felt a bit unclear to me"
I tried photopea thinking the subscription would be straightforward, but the billing details didn’t feel super clear to me. It seemed like the important info was kind of tucked away instead of being easy to notice.
I wasn’t totally sure about when I’d be charged or exactly what I was agreeing to. Maybe the details were there somewhere around the checkout page, but I feel like that stuff should be much more obvious before you pay.
The tool itself is about fine and works okay, but I don’t like feeling uncertain about charges. I ended up canceling and probably won’t use the paid plan again

"Photopea probably works fine, but I couldn’t get…"
photopea probably works fine, but I couldn’t get into it. The screen feels packed with tiny buttons and panels everywhere. I kept clicking the wrong things and basic tools weren’t easy to find. Just felt like an old desktop app in a browser. Not for me.

"Really handy for quick edits"
I like that I dont have to install anything. It just opens in my browser, so I can make quick edits even if Im on a different computer. Super handy when I need to fix something fast.

"Useful, but a little more stressful than I expected"
photopea opens fast and is definitely useful, but some of the tools confused me at first. If you already know Photoshop, it probably makes more sense, but I just wanted to do a few simple edits and ended up clicking around way more than I expected. It wasn’t terrible, but it did add this weird little bit of stress when I thought it would be quick and easy. Not bad overall, just not as simple as I hoped.

"PSD Files Didn’t Import Right"
I tried opening a few PSD files I made in Photoshop, and it was frustrating. The layers came in all messed up, some effects were missing, and the fonts looked weird even though everything looked totally fine in my desktop app. I ended up wasting time fixing things that should’ve loaded properly in the first place. I also reached out for help, but the support replies felt kind of copy-pasted and didn’t really address what was happening. I definitely won’t be using it for PSD work again.

"Super handy for quick PSD edits"
I started using Photopea whenever I needed to make quick edits to PSD files but didn’t feel like opening up heavier software. i was surprised by how well it handled most of the tools I needed. Working with layers and masks felt smooth, and exporting my files was straightforward enough that I didn’t have to think much about it. The only reason I’d probably give it 4 stars is that it can slow down when I’m working with larger files or a project with a ton of layers. A few times it froze for a few seconds, which was a little frustrating. But for something that runs in a browser, it’s genuinely useful, and I keep coming back to it.

"Pretty Quick Overall"
It was quick enough for the most part. Nothing too crazy, but it got the job done without much waiting.

"Decent tool, but support was disappointing"
i mean, Photopea works okay for the most part, but my experience with support wasn’t great. I waited a few days to hear back, and when they finally replied, it was short and didn’t really solve the issue I was having
